This page explains what The Licensure Professor is and is not. It applies to every exam section of the site: the NCE, the NCMHCE, the ASWB Clinical and Masters exams, the AMFTRB national MFT exam, and the EPPP.

No guarantee of passing, of any score, or of any licensure result

We do not guarantee that you will pass any exam, reach any particular score, or be granted a license, certificate, or registration. Practice-test results on this site are for study purposes only and do not predict an official score.

Passing depends on your preparation, your education and experience, the exam you are scheduled for, and decisions made by your licensing board. A study resource cannot promise any of those outcomes.

Not affiliated with any exam owner or licensing board

The Licensure Professor is an independent educational site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB), the Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards (AMFTRB), the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), or any state, provincial, or other licensing board.

NCE, NCMHCE, ASWB, EPPP, and AMFTRB are names or trademarks of their respective owners. They appear on this site only to say which exam a page prepares you for.

Educational practice material only

Everything here is educational practice material. It is not official exam content. It is not legal advice and it is not licensure advice.

Every question and flashcard on this site is an original practice item written for this site. None is intended to reproduce, and none was knowingly taken from, an actual exam question or recalled exam content.

On the ASWB and AMFTRB sections, the practice items and flashcards were written with an AI assistant. Each explanation names the published source it was based on, such as a profession's code of ethics, the exam owner's published outline, or a standard textbook. These items have not been reviewed by a licensed social worker or a licensed marriage and family therapist, and the sources can contain details the AI assistant misread. Nothing on the EPPP section has been reviewed by a licensed psychologist. The NCE and NCMHCE sections are reviewed separately. Treat all of this as a study aid, and confirm anything that matters with the official sources. This page will say so when licensed reviewers have checked the new sections.

Confirm requirements with your board and state

Exam content outlines, formats, fees, passing standards, and eligibility rules change. Where an exam page shows the date its outline was last checked, that date does not replace the official source.

Before you apply, schedule, or test, confirm the current requirements, content outline, and your eligibility with the exam owner and with the licensing board in the state or province where you plan to practice.
