Terms of Use

Last updated: September 29, 2026. By using The Licensure Professor you agree to these terms.

Educational content only

Everything on this site is general educational information about preparing for counselor licensure examinations. It is not legal advice, not clinical supervision, and not a substitute for the official NBCC candidate handbook or your state licensing board's published requirements. Always confirm exam formats, dates, fees and licensure requirements with the official sources.

No guarantee of results

Passing a licensure examination depends on many factors. The Licensure Professor does not guarantee that any student or professional who uses this site, its course, study plan, flashcards, practice tests or recommendations will pass the NCE or any other examination. The material here represents Dr. Wichterman's best effort to provide accurate, current and useful information. Your result is determined by your own study habits, educational background, clinical experience, and the effort you put in. Practice-test scores on this site are estimates for study purposes and do not predict an official score.

Not affiliated with NBCC

The Licensure Professor is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), the American Counseling Association, CACREP, or any state licensing board. NCE and NCMHCE are marks of NBCC, used here only to identify the examinations.
